Halloween is one of my favorite holidays and I can’t wait to show you what I did this year, but first, a little background on me.  I grew up in a home where my mom went all out for every holiday, even though she really didn’t have much money to work with or much time to spare. She decorated the house with all sorts of holiday trinkets including the ceramics she painted so expertly.  She had a painted ceramic decoration for ALL holidays, no matter how big or small the day might be….President’s Day, Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Ground Hog Day…….but she pulled out all the stops on Halloween and Christmas.  I loved getting my jammies on, and with my sister, the three of us would make Halloween cookies, drink hot cocoa out of special mugs we both still have to this day and carve our happy jack-o-lanterns. I have taken that same mentality into my holiday decorating! I love Halloween and have some really awesome decorations, some I’ve made and some are store bought. Here is the decoration around my front door this year! It is so beautiful, now that Halloween is over I don’t really want to take it down……..but I will, eventually. I mean, Christmas is coming……
